Cristy Lee is best known for her work as a TV Personality, but her DIY and motorsports roots run strong – given that she grew up around her Dad’s automotive repair shop and “The World Center of Racing” in Daytona Beach, FL.
Change was calling, and in 2005 Cristy moved from sunny Florida to Detroit, Michigan – the “Motor City” – to pursue opportunities in home renovation and house flipping by starting her own real estate investment company.
After a few-year stint as a rock radio DJ in Detroit, Cristy turned her love for motorsports and riding and her interest in broadcasting into a new venture covering motorcycle racing as a pit reporter for her favorite Road Racing series. Since then, she’s been seen as a Motorsports Reporter covering XGames, MotoGP, WorldSuperBike, MotoAmerica, American Flat Track, Arenacross, Nitro Rallycross, Off-Road Truck Racing and Monster Jam for networks like FOX, NBCSN, ESPN, SPEED, ABC and CMT.
Cristy is best known for her work with MotorTrend and Discovery Channels as the host of “All Girls Garage,” an all-female how-to automotive show; “Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions LIVE,” covering prestigious Collector Car Auctions; and “Garage Squad,” rescuing forgotten cars one build at a time.
Keeping it in the family, Cristy has several new projects in the works with the Discovery, Inc. spectrum of channels – from more automotive restoration to home renovation shows. They include “Steal This House,” which debuted in July 2022 on HGTV and taps into Cristy’s passion and talent for home improvement projects.
Cristy serves as a Stanley Black & Decker CRAFTSMAN® Tools Ambassador. Among her contributions: stepping in as moderator for our inaugural Makers Index Virtual Discussion that drilled into the skilled trade shortage – and what can be done to get the next generation of makers excited about trades careers.
