As the Strategic Insight Manager for hand tools and storage products, Qadira may have a very data-driven job, but at the end of the day, her mindset is people focused.
From Qadira’s point of view, “Data is nothing without the voice of the customer being respected and heard.” Right from the start, focusing on consumer insights just seemed like the right fit.
“I kind of got introduced to the world of insights and I remember thinking, wow that’s fascinating...helping people understand how everything can be better. No matter what the industry is, we can help make it better.” For Qadira, digging into the ‘why, why, why’ behind people’s love for products is both engaging and impactful.
The best part of working at Stanley Black & Decker?
“One of the best things I like about working here is the freedom for me to sit and think and be able to actually execute some of my ideas or pursue other interests. I can look across the company or even within a group for other opportunities to develop as a more holistic employee.”
Among the ways Qadira brings her whole self to work...
As the chairperson for the community involvement pillar of the African Ancestry Network, Qadira can speak from experience, “Employee resource groups have had a huge impact on the culture here at Stanley Black & Decker. The company takes the time and provides us the resources, making sure that we’re getting what we need to ultimately help not just move our employees further but the community as well.”
At the end of day, for Qadira, “It’s about loving what you do” and wanting to “make the world better.”
